Ralph E. Williams II, CFSP was born in Washington, DC. He is the son of Ralph & Almyra Williams. He was raised in Landover, MD, and currently resides in Bowie, Maryland.

Having been born in the District of Columbia and having attended schools in the city as well as Prince George’s County, MD he has a deep appreciation and love for the city and its surrounding suburbs. He was raised in the Catholic Elementary Schools of the Archdiocese of Washington. His Catholic School education culminated in him becoming a 1998 graduate of Bishop McNamara High School, Forestville, Maryland. He attended some higher education at Bowie State, however, his calling to service those in need led him to New York, NY-“the Big Apple” where he attended American Academy-McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, Inc., where he was a 2003 graduate.

He presently holds mortician & funeral directors licenses in the state of Maryland & the District of Columbia. He is currently seeking licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He carries the title of Certified Funeral Service Professional (CFSP) from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. He holds and is affiliated with memberships in the National Funeral Directors & Morticians Association, Inc. (NFDMA),the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) & the Independent Funeral Directors Association of Washington, D.C. (IFDA) In August of 2012 he was selected out of a total of 50 funeral directors under the age of 40 in the nation to attend the NFDA’s Meet the Mentors program at Harvard University. He was honored and further humbled by the opportunity. He was recently appointed to the position of District II Governor of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association (NFDMA) representing Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia & Virginia for the years 2013-2015.

He started his business to carry on the legacy of his father, who founded the Ralph Williams Funeral Service in 1988. Due to health concerns, Ralph Williams, Sr. has since retired, however he is more than thrilled the torch has been passed down to his son. Mr. Williams has a deep passion for funeral service & is very compassionate to those in their darkest of hours. He prides himself on the motto, “Where Sympathy Expresses itself through Sincere Service”.
